Craneworks, Inc. inspectors provide complete preventive maintenance and inspections of your equipment. We don’t stop at the hook! We inspect the bridge, runway, end trucks, hook, wire rope/chain, controllers, brakes, and full range of motion.

SERVICES

Supplementing Your Program

Craneworks, Inc. Personnel are qualified Level II Inspectors for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) using Dye Penetrant and Magnetic Particle mediums. We also provide UltraSound and X-ray Testing Services on an as needed basis. Our NDT Inspectors are required to complete refresher training in their medium and are recertified every 3 years.

The Craneworks training programs are tailored to meet your safety needs.   We offer classroom instruction in OSHA, ASME, USACE, NAVFAC and other industry standards as well as hands-on training.  Our instructors have years of practical, hands-on experience in the crane field and we bring that experience to the training environment

As part of preparation for Navy Crane Center evaluations of your weight handling program, Craneworks, Inc. can provide a program evaluation readiness reporting including a review of your weight handling equipment and verdict on compliance with the Navy Crane Centers CSAs.

Craneworks, Inc. can engineer your crane from the ground up. From concept to fabrication to installation, all work is completed by trade certified craftsmen and under the supervision of our Crane Engineers.

Craneworks, Inc. also specializes in US Navy NAVFAC P-307 package hoist sales.  We represent a multitude of hoist manufacturers, including: Coffing, CM, Yale, Shaw box, Budget and ACCO Wright.  Wire Rope or Chain hoists can be purchased fully P-307 compliant. We are regularly contracted to remove brand new hoists because they do not meet the Navy standard. Don’t buy the same crane twice. Call Craneworks the first time. We guarantee 100% compliance.

Craneworks, Inc. has the engineering expertise to work with you to gather the required documentation, perform the engineering, and manage the submission of your Crane Alteration requests.

Crane Alteration Request Preparation

We can design the lifting fixture to meet your unique lifting requirement. Our Engineers design lifting fixtures ranging from 1,500 lbs spreader bars to 250-ton lifting beams for load testing. We have the facilities, experience, personnel and technical know-how to design and fabricate your lifting fixture.

Custom Lifting Fixtures

Ground Level and Elevated Crane Rail Surveys are conducted to determine and analyze rail span, straightness, elevation and rail-to-rail elevation. Corrective action is recommended if rails are determined to be deficient by standards established by Crane Manufacturers Association of America (CMAA). Deficient crane rails can be repaired or replaced by Craneworks, Inc. personnel. Our technicians and engineers are trained and proficient with the CMAA standards and NAVFAC 11230.1F.

Crane Rail Surveys and Evaluations

Craneworks, Inc. can upgrade your Material Handling Program with state of the art radio controls. Our trained personnel will evaluate your equipment and determine which type of system will accommodate your needs. Upon completion of installation Craneworks, Inc. will train your personnel in operation of your new system and provide preventive maintenance instructions.

Navigating the Navy’s P-307 program can be a daunting task. Craneworks technicians and administrative specialists are certified through the Navy’s programs and know exactly what must be done to keep your crane inventory safe and certified. What’s more, our in-house engineers have 50 years of experience with Navy programs, including direct engineering and audit experience with the Navy Crane Center. No one knows Navy cranes like Craneworks.
